- I really like these types of quick connect gauges to monitor my spare kegs for leaks. After a keg kicks, I clean, sanitize then pressurize it for storage until the next batch is ready. I used to occasionally pull the PRV and estimate based on intensity of the gas released whether or not it was holding pressure. With these types of gauges I can see if the pressure is dropping over time and I don’t need to let any gas out to test that the keg is still pressurized.I have a similar gauge from another brand but it only goes to 20 PSI, I like that this one goes to 40, although I rarely go that high on my kegs. They both produce the same reading of 15 PSI on a keg I pressurized from my regulator also set at 15 PSI so I feel confident this gauge’s accuracy is inline with the rest of my system. The kit includes a ball lock connector and a push-fit connector which the gauge uses. You’ll need to hand tighten the push connector fairly good, my first attempt very obviously leaked gas when I connected it. You don’t need a tool, you can hand tighten but it needs to be on there good.Overall I’m really happy with this gauge, would recommend it for testing new/used kegs and general testing between batches.
