- I found an old gallon glass jug in the basement of a friend’s house. They were going to just throw it out, but I thought it would be useful. Unfortunately, the old metal lid (labeled “Orange Drink” ☺) was corroded, and I didn’t feel comfortable using it with any liquids in the jug. This cap was just the right size, and the fact that it’s plastic means I avoid the corrosion problem. I know I could have gotten a pack of 3, 6, or 12 for not much more, but I just needed the one cap. It was worth it to me to pay a little more per item to not have to have the clutter of extra, unnecessary caps.I did have some issues with the shipping from the vendor, but since that has nothing to do with the item itself, I’m not reflecting this in my review. (I reviewed the vendor separately and noted the shipping issues in that review.)
